A very large Memorial Ceremony for Officer Sean Collier will be held at Briggs Field on Wednesday, April 22, 2013.   In preparation for the event security, we have been asked to remove all parkers from our west campus parking facilities.  This request will impact around 1,000 employee parkers on Wednesday.  More than 300 employee and student parkers who use the Westgate lot will be impacted on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

The following parking facilities will be closed on Wednesday. Employees who park in these facilities will be asked to take public transportation to campus on Wednesday.

West Garage
West Lot
Westgate Lot
Westgate Lowrise
W91 Lot
W92 Garage and Lot
Audrey Street
Amherst Street
Danforth Street
Fowler Street
Endicott Street

For employees who do not have a public transportation option, parking has been arranged at Harvard Stadium on Wednesday with shuttle service to and from campus from 7AM to 7PM. Directions to Harvard Stadium and shuttle stop information will be placed on the Parking and Transportation website web.mit.edu/parking.

Student residents and campus residents who park in the Westgate Lot must relocate their vehicles to one of the following three parking lots in Northwest campus by 10PM tonight, Monday April 22. Student residents and campus residents who park in any of the other parking facilities listed above must relocate their vehicle to one of the following three parking lots in Northwest campus by          10PM on Tuesday, April 23.

252 Albany Street Lot
65 Waverly Street Lot
117 Waverly Street Lot

The lots will identified by signs and a location map will be available on the Parking and Transportation website web.mit.edu/parking . Student resident vehicles may be moved back to the west campus lots after 7PM on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, employees who park in the Westgate lot will be redirected to available space on campus.

Road closing information will be sent out as soon as it is available.
