MIT Under the Dome Open House Saturday April 30, 2011


On Saturday, 4/30/11, 10am-4pm, somewhere between 10,000-30,000 people will be walking around campus taking part in the MIT 150th celebration Under the Dome Open House.

Again, TANG HALL will not be open to the public.  The desk will politely turn people away who do not have a legitimate reason for being in the building. An example of a reason would be to visit a resident.

I am asking you to do the following:


*         Let the desk know if you are expecting a visitor;

*         Keep your room and suite doors locked for safety and security;

*         Do not let strangers into the House;

*         Be careful who is following you into the dorm;

*         If you see an uninvited person in the building do not hesitate to alert myself, any staff member, GRT or House Master to help escort them out. Campus Police emergency number is 100 from any MIT phone or 617-253-1212 from any other phone.

Since the Facilities Operations Center will be very busy on Saturday please direct any facilities issues to me. The TANG House staff and I will be in the House on Saturday, 9am-5pm.


I will post signs on the exterior doors advising people that the House is not open to the public.
