[Tang-residents] Water Shut down TOMORROW / Water Leak

	THE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE AND THE WATER HAS NOW BEEN RESTORED.

It's not unusual to see discolored water after a water shut down. Allow both hot and cold water to run a minute or two until it becomes clear.

The water is safe for al purposes including drinking.

Reason:
Repair leak in supply line in apartments 3B and 4B
Day: Thursday
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Building(s): W84
Room(s): All
System: Domestic Hot and Cold Water
Duration: 6:00hrs.



Effect:

  Loss of hot and cold domestic water for the duration of the shutdown. This means that no bathrooms,

  showers, kitchens and drinking fountains will be operational during

  this shutdown.



Suggestion:

Fill bathtub with water for duration of shutdown.   Use this water to flush your toilet. Fill a bucket from the tub and dump it into the toilet bowl.   This will force the toilet to flush.



Warning:

To avoid flooding, please be sure all faucets are off and stay off for the duration of the shutdown.  If you try a faucet and find the water is still off, turn the faucet back off.

The building will need a complete water shut down, Hot and Cold.
The water shut down is  scheduled for this Thursday 6/17/10 ,  9am to 2pm

A reminder will be sent out again on Wednesday

There is currently a leak from a pipe leading down into the lobby.
Please be aware sometime today, soon, once the leak is located we will have to shut off the water.

I hope to be able to isolate the leak and only have to shut off a couple of suits and not the entire building.

Please be aware of the water shut down soon.
