FIRE SAFETY INSPECTIONS

 

     I will be conducting Tang room inspections starting Oct 27th Monday and
Tuesday OCT 28th . 

 

MONDAY 10/27/08        FLOORS 24 THROUGH 13     Between 10am and 3pm

TUESDAY 10/28/08       FLOORS 12 THROUGH 2      Between 10am and 3pm

 

These inspections are designed to increase your awareness to fire safety
issues. I   look at the following:

*        Are you using an extension cord to plug in computers etc, and is it
safe.

*        Is there furniture blocking the heater?

*         Is there anything hanging from the sprinkler head?

*        Are there candles used in the room?

*        Is the smoke detector working? Is the smoke detector covered? 

*        Is there any hazardous material in the room?

*        I will not be opening any drawers.

      A copy of the inspection checklist can be found on the front door of
Tang Hall. I will fill out a checklist for each bedroom and leave a copy for
your record.

I will be inspecting every bedroom as well as the kitchen, bath and living
rooms.     If you have any questions regarding these inspections please
