24th Floor Lounge
Listed below are a few important policies you should not overlook.

Alcohol Policy and Event Registration
All events planned for the 24th Floor Lounge must be registered with the
Residence Life Office (W20-549), If:
* Alcohol is to be served
* More than 100 people are to be present at any time. No more than
129 people at any time due to fire regulations.
*No alcohol* (including wine) without a permit. If you have alcohol, you
must obtain and bring the permit to the event. (Refer to the events with
alcohol page <http://web.mit.edu/slp/events/alcohol.shtml>

General Rules
1. Fines up to $100 per rule violation will be levied for violation of
EACH of the rules listed here. Your Bursar account will be billed to cover
these charges.

3. The person who reserves the lounge is financially responsible for
any damage done to the lounge or its equipment, and for cleaning afterwards.
* Clean-up of the lounge/BBQ pits and surrounding area (including
emptying of the bins) must be performed in the time period allotted for the
gathering (i.e. It is not acceptable to have a party Friday night and come
back Saturday afternoon to clean up). For evening parties, the area must be
cleaned by 1 am.
4. NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED anywhere in Tang, including in the lounge, in
the area in front and around of the elevators, or the stairwell.
5. The person who reserves the lounge must be present at the event.
6. You and your party may be asked to leave at any time if the noise
level is deemed too high.
7. Reservations by residents who have "bad" history or overdue payments
for previous reservations (lounge or BBQ) will not be accepted.
8. No more than 4 reservations per resident (per apartment in case of
Westgate) are allowed per calendar year.
9. You may not charge admission to any events being held under any
circumstances.
