[Tang-residents] Fire Drill Tang Hall Wednesday 10/6

                         FIRE DRILL

  There will be a planned fire drill for Tang Hall on Wednesday Oct 6th, 
2004. The drill will start in the approx 10:30am,

    Representatives from the MIT Safety office, Campus Police, and 
Residence life office will be in attendance to ensure a safe evacuation and 
to answer any questions. This year starting time at 10am is also to have 
staff members available and test the system at a different time of day.

    MIT is committed to ensuring the safety of all residents living in 
campus housing. We will be having fire drills periodically to ensure all 
residents recognize the bells and evacuate quickly and safely.

    ALL RESIDENTS MUST LEAVE THE BUILDING WHEN THE FIRE ALARM IS 
SOUNDING.  YOU MUST USE THE STAIRS. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS When you do 
not leave, you endanger the lives of the firefighters who will have to go 
in after you.

    Once outside if the weather is not good, all residents of Tang may wait 
in the Westgate lobby.
