[StarCluster] StarCluster alternatives to EC2?

Hi all,

Has anyone adapted StarCluster to the use of compute resources other
than Amazon EC2?  The "easy" case is using StarCluster with a resource
which also exposes the EC2 API, i.e. Eucalyptus or OpenStack, and that's
what I'm immediately interested in.  But I'd also be interested in
anyone's experience with other APIs or bare metal provisioning, for
either StarCluster or a similar automatic cluster setup system.
