Snow Hounds, winter is almost here!

Hopefully everyone in this list is excited that winter is upon us, maybe
some of you have already enjoyed a couple runs at either K or Sunday
River! For those of you real hard core members who need their runs
(almost) every weekend, the Ski House is psyched to welcome new members
for the season!

The Ski House is a full house with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large living
room, kitchen, dining room, hot tub, fireplace, fire pit, mud room/ski
storage, and best of all, its right in the Sunday River access road!

The website has tons of information:
http://snowriders.mit.edu/skihouse

The memberships available are:

Students: $375* for 12 nights throughout the season (weekends)
Others MIT: $650 for 24 nights throughout the season (weekends)
Any-time: $1200 to go up as much as you want (but not to live there!)

Read all the details in the website
(http://snowriders.mit.edu/skihouse); if interested or have questions
e-mail:

sr-skihouse at mit.edu

To become a member we'll invite you to a short in-person meeting so that
we can go over how the house works and make sure all the details are clear.

* If you buy a "New England College Pass" from Snowriders the student
membership is $339, just like the pass :-)

And with this "PS", a reminder about getting your season pass through
SnowRiders:

-------------------------------------- Officer's E-mail about the Season
Pass ----------------------------------

Hey Snowriders!

It's time to start thinking about skiing and snowboarding this winter - Sunday River and Killington have both opened already!

If you are really excited about skiing/snowboarding this year, consider purchasing a season pass - we recommend the New England College Pass, which is valid (unrestricted) at Loon Mountain, Sunday River, and Sugarloaf. This year, we were able to get a discount for all MIT students that purchase the pass through our special Snowriders deal, so the pass is $339 if you purchase it by via the PDF at:

   https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6010857/2015pass.pdf

The Snowriders winter schedule is not completely set in stone, but we will be heading to these mountains at least 5-6 times (around 3/4 of all of our trips) over the course of the winter. If you have a season pass, you pay a discounted fee to go on Snowriders trips (covering just the bus trip and not the lift ticket price). A normal daily lift ticket at these mountains ranges from $83-89, so the pass pays for itself very quickly over the course of the season.

If you are interested in purchasing a season pass, please fill out the PDF (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6010857/2015pass.pdf), including your credit card information, and title it Lastname_SkiPass. Then, email a copy to me ischneid at mit.edu or drop of a physical copy at Tony Wu's office, 13-3061 (slide it under the door if no one is there). The discount is valid until November 30th.

You can also purchase the season pass online from any of the resort websites, but you will pay $359 and not receive the additional $20 discount. Please not that the pass is only available to current students, and you will not be able to pick it up at the mountain without showing proof of enrollment from the registrar.

Cheers,
Ian
