Hi Snowriders,

I hope everyone had a good Summer and is looking forward to the new
semester. The first item of business for the club is to secure all of
our leadership positions. If any of you are interested in being an
officer this year, please send an email to sr-officers at mit.edu with a
brief description of your qualifications, what you think you can bring
to the club, and what positions you are interested in filling.

We welcome interest in taking on a role as president or vice president,
but the incumbant officers in both positions have expressed a
willingness to continue for one more year. Given the state of the club,
what we learned last year, and what we would like to improve, we have
the most need in filling these other positions first.

Please be aware that we are, foremost, a graduate student organization.
We welcome interest from those of you that are not graduate students,
but it will be a requirement for some of the positions: President, Vice
president, GSC Coordinator. Also, if you have interest in being a bus
monitor, which is not an officer position, but is something that we
could use some help on, please let us know as well. If you think you
might be interested in an officer position, but don't want to make the
commitment this year, being a bus monitor is a great way to get more
involved in the club.

A brief description of the responsibilities of the different officers is
given below, so you can have an idea of what the club needs. We will
compile information on the candidates and send out another email about
our club elections soon. If you do wish to fill in any of these
positions, or if you would like to nominate someone else, please respond
to sr-officers at mit.edu by Friday, Sept 10 at 5:00pm.

Thanks!
