[snowriders] Ski House open for new members!

Skiers & Riders,

Are you psyched yet? The people at Sunday River definitely are: they 
have fired their snow machines and OPENED FRIDAY!!!

Clearly they care about us having a great season!

So, how sick is it that the Snowriders Ski House 
(http://snowriders.mit.edu/skihouse) is just 1.9mi from South Ridge 
lodge?! Plus, the house is a top-notch log cabin which sleeps 10 
people comfortably (last season we had as many as 14!) The house is a 
superb opportunity for MIT students to go enjoy winter in a great 
place, both in terms of living and the mountain.

The prices are exactly the same as last year:
- "Half" membership: $350
  - Up to 12 nights, including a maximum of 6 guest nights*
  - Weekends only
  - STUDENTS ONLY
- Full membership: $600
  - Up to 24 nights, including a maximum of 12 guest nights*
  - Weekends only
- Anytime membership: $1200
  - Go whenever you want
  - Up to 24 guest nights*

The house membership season runs from Nov 15 to Apr 15 (although if 
anyone wants to go up starting the weekend of Nov 6, e-mail me to 
arrange things).

Note that you will need separate passes for the mountain (either a 
season pass or day passes); of course we encourage you to get a 
season pass from snowriders (stay tuned to the website for news about 
it, sorry for the delays). A car is needed to get there, there is no 
public transport; but if you don't have one, its easy to find rides 
with other members, so don't let that stop you if you want to join, 
contact us first!

and we'll arrange how you can pay the membership fee.

As in previous years, the house will also be available for a few 
selected weekends to have "ski trips" by student groups/labs. Please 
contact us if you're interested.

The house is made available because we want students to have the 
chance to enjoy skiing while still a student, that is why we have the 
superb deal of $350 for the season for students.

* Guest nights: a guest night is one person per night that goes with 
you to the house; you can have many guests the same night, each count 
as one night, and they count towards your total nights. Examples in 
the website.
