On Wednesday 6 October, PBS NOVA will premiere a new film about particle physics, “Particles Unknown.” (The film premiered on BBC 4 in the UK earlier this week.)

Prof. David Kaiser has been helping with the film and made on-screen appearances throughout, including on-location footage at the Large Hadron Collider in CERN and at the site of Enrico Fermi’s former laboratory in Rome. [Behind the Scenes: Until the last moment, the working title of the film was actually “Operation: Neutrino,” not coincidentally also the title of one of the chapters in Prof. Kaiser’s most recent book, Quantum Legacies; the project got started based on his chapter!]

Stream the film for free at the PBS website after it premieres on TV on 6 October.
