Colleagues,
The MIT Museum will be hosting a special book talk next Wednesday, November 2nd with the author of the new MIT campus guide published by Princeton Architectural Press. Shand-Tucci is a noted public historian who has authored numerous works about the history of Boston. He has been a regular guest speaker for STS.050 (History of MIT) and has delighted students with his original and provocative research about the history of MIT. (For example, he writes: "The origins of MIT, hardly suspected today, are aristocratic, religious and artistic as well as innovative and entrepreneurial; as much to do with the arts as with science, grounded in architecture as well as engineering.”)
The evening will feature a short talk followed by questions and answers. If you think you can come, we’d be grateful if you might register for this free event on Eventbrite (but don’t worry if you forget!)
