[Sci-tech-public] TODAY 3PM: Conversations on Autonomy: Dana Yoerger of Woods Hole

A reminder that TODAY THURSDAY April 17 will be our fifth “Conversations on Autonomy” discussion, 3-5 pm in 33-116. Our guest is Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Senior Scientist Dr. Dana Yoerger who will be speaking about his many years developing remote- and autonomous systems for deep ocean exploration.



The aim of “Conversations on Autonomy" is to meet every couple of weeks and invite some researchers to have short presentations and open discussions on issues surrounding autonomy. We aim to build a community of people interested around some of these issues, including regulatory, policy, and R&D dimensions. The seminars are open. 

The schedule for the rest of the term is:

May 1 — John Wissler / Jim Paduano (Aurora Flight Sciences, on Autonomous Cargo Helicopters) 

May 15 — Jon How (Aero/Astro)
