MIT's Program in Science, Technology, and Society's first Colloquium of the semester is this coming Monday (Oct 28, 2013) at 4 PM in E51-095 at 2 Amherst Street on the MIT Campus. Our speaker will be Matthew L. Jones of Columbia University. Dr. Jones will speak on:

"Exploiting communications, exploiting the law: Data mining, Total Information Awareness, and the NSA"

Also on Monday at 2 PM, MIT's bigdata at CSAIL will be presenting a talk also on the NSA entitled "NSA Mass Surveillance: Turning the Fourth (And First) Amendment on It's Head" presented by Cindy Cohn, Legal Director, Electronic Frontier Foundation.
