Dear friends and colleagues,

I wish to cordially invite you to attend the thesis presentations of the Science Writing class of 2012. Our Thesis Day event will take place Friday, May 18 from 9-11:45 and 1:30-4:30 at the MIT Faculty Club.

The topics, in order of presentation are: explorations to the seafloors of Earth and Europa, intelligence in octopuses, REM sleep and the emotional brain, new advances in Ai, gulls (but not seagulls), embodied cognition, telescopes, and the return of psychedelics in medicine.

I've attached a flyer with more information. The event is open to the public, and you can attend as many or as few presentations as you wish. I guarantee they will all be interesting.

Sincerely,

Shannon Larkin
