Dear Program Coordinator:

On Friday, May 14, the Harvard Extension School presents the Centennial
Lowell Lecture by Sherry Turkle of MIT, The Tethered Life: Technology
Reshapes Intimacy and Solitude, at 8 pm, in Lowell Lecture Hall at Harvard.
Quite possibly, your colleagues at the MIT Science, Technology, and Society
program will find this lecture of great interest.

As you know, Sherry Turkle is an expert on the psychology of people's
relationships with technology. For the Lowell Lecture, Prof. Turkle
considers the significant impact technology has on our personal and
political lives, including the effect on our children, our families, and our
notions of privacy.

We ask that you share this information with interested colleagues and
fellows if at all possible. Attached is a poster, and more detailed
information can be found at
http://www.extension.harvard.edu/centennial/events/.

Thank you,

Linda Cross
