A behind-the-scene look at experience and challenges 
faced by a journalist covering two opposing narratives. Bronner has been 
Jerusalem bureau chief of The New York Times for the past two years 
following four years as the paper’s deputy foreign editor focused 
largely on the Middle East.  He served as Middle East bureau chief for 
The Boston Globe for six years in the 1990s and as deputy Jerusalem 
bureau chief for Reuters in the mid-1980s.
