Hello all,
I hope you're enjoying your weekend, as summer wraps up quickly.
A few dates for the start of the year I want to make you aware of:
1. Please join us for the STS Welcome Party on Wednesday, September 15th from
4-6 pm in the Winter Room of the new Media Lab Building (E14, 6th floor).
Please RSVP to Bianca Sinausky (singleta at mit.edu) by Sept 8th.
Spouses/s.o.s/family invited.
2. The 2010 Arthur Miller Lecture on Science and ethics with Dr. Paul Farmer.
His talk "Rebuilding Haiti" will take place at 4 pm on Friday, October 29th at
MIT, Room 34-101.
2. I'm including below the dates and titles for the Harvard/STS "Subway Series."
Thanks to Roz and Peter Galison for putting this together. We'll likely have
some other special talks for the department as well.
More on each of these, but please save the dates for now.
I look forward to seeing you all in the next week or two.
best,
David
