on *Tuesday, April 10th, from 4-5:30 in Science Center, rm 469*,
Dr. Angell, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Medicine at
Harvard Medical School and Editor-in-Chief, Emerita of the New England
Journal of Medicine, will lead a discussion based on a brief
presentation updating her New York Review of Books piece of the same
title, published July 15, 2004 and her subsequent article "Your
Dangerous Drugstore" published June 8, 2006. Dr. Angell is also the
author of a full-length book on this subject, /The Truth About the Drug
Companies: How They Deceive Us and What to Do About It/. (June 2006).
In order to facilitate a lively discussion, participants are strongly
encouraged to read the two articles in advance. They are available here:
