Tomorrow evening the Technology and Culture Forum is hosting an 
informal gathering on "Technology and Social Isolation."  There will be 
three brief talks and then general discussion.  I'm going to read a 
(playful) paper on the Shaw's Grocery self-checkout machine.  Feel free
