[Sci-tech-public] next week: Sixth Annual Harvard Graduate Student Conference on International History

The Sixth Annual Harvard Graduate Student Conference on International 
History will take place March 17-18 at Harvard's Minda de Gunzburg 
Center for European Studies. The theme of this year's conference is 
"Universalities in World History." Tim Stoneman, who recently joined 
STS as a postdoctoral associate, will be presenting a paper at the 
conference next Friday, March 17th, at 1:30.  A copy of his paper, 
"Translating the Global into the Local: American Missionary 
Broadcasting in West Africa, 1954-70," is attached for those who 
might be interested.

The conference is free, but attendees are encouraged to register in 
advance at the conference website
