The Sixth Annual Harvard Graduate Student Conference on International
History will take place March 17-18 at Harvard's Minda de Gunzburg
Center for European Studies. The theme of this year's conference is
"Universalities in World History." Tim Stoneman, who recently joined
STS as a postdoctoral associate, will be presenting a paper at the
conference next Friday, March 17th, at 1:30. A copy of his paper,
"Translating the Global into the Local: American Missionary
Broadcasting in West Africa, 1954-70," is attached for those who
might be interested.
The conference is free, but attendees are encouraged to register in
advance at the conference website
(http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~conih/). A full schedule for both days
