Making Sense of 'Intelligent Design'

A Reading Group, Spring Semester 2006

Led by John Durant, the MIT Museum Director and Adjunct Professor in
STS, this reading group will explore the origins, nature and
significance of the 'Intelligent Design' (ID) debate in contemporary
American culture. The exploration will take the form of fortnightly
discussions of key texts. The group will meet every two weeks (apart
from spring break) from 4.30pm-6.30pm on Thursday evenings,
commencing on 16th February 2006. The reading group is open to
graduate students, faculty and staff. Numbers may be restricted in
the interests of the effective working of the group. To participate
in the seminar or receive announcements about the reading group, send
