Sam Schweber is Professor Emeritus of Physics and the Richard Koret 
Professor in the History of Ideas, Brandeis University. He is best 
known for his masterful study of the origins of quantum 
electrodynamics, "QED and the Men Who Made It: Dyson, Feynman, 
Schwinger, and Tomonaga," Princeton University Press, 1994. He is 
also the author of "In the Shadow of the Bomb: Bethe, Oppenheimer, 
and the Moral Responsibility of the Scientist," Princeton University 
Press 2000.
