Thanks Mike.  When I updated browser from IE9 to IE11 that seemed to have fixed my issue and it also did for at least one other person .  I believe our Basis folks had also made some rendering updates as well.

Hi Dale, 

Bit of a late reply, but in case you still have a problem, the preview is rendered as part of your local SapGui installation, so I would look there. And yes it is also linked to your local browser for the rendering.

We are on 740 Release.  Just did year end support packs.  In SE80, web dynpro ? on views,  while in the layout preview and doing a mouse click on an element, the corresponding element property under context menu-root element container will not highlight to let you know where you are at.    Prior to support packs this feature worked.  This has happened to several of our developers, but not all, signaling I do not think it is a global issue.  We even had one developer that this feature did not work for them prior to support packs, but now does work for this individual.   Some think it might be browser related, but this has not been proven.   Played around with visualization in the gui options but still no success.   Any ideas ?
