Hi John,

I concur with Mark. If you are on an ECC system I would think you would use the standard MM purchasing process – purchase requisition and purchase order. You do not need a material master to order items with this process. There are out-of the-box workflows for these. Of course there will be some config involved.

And, you could always use SAP Personas to give your users simple screens to work with. ☺

The obvious place to do this would be in SRM or with Purchase Reqs.
If these don’t fit then DMS or a notification could be a good option.
Alternatively depending on the amount of information you need to capture you could create a simple Customer Table and generate some UIs : a key consideration here is which inbox and UI you plan to use.

Hi to all

I'm looking for some advice...

My client wishes to replace a manual process by SAP Workflow.

The manual process is that when an item i.e. a new Server or Capital expenditure (not held as equipment or material master within SAP) is to be purchased, a piece of paper is sent round to multiple people for a wet signature. So I am looking to see what object could be used in SAP to replicate that manual process.

Quality Notification? or a Claim Notification?, DMS record? or something else?

Anyone who's done something similar or a standard approach ?
