Deadline reached - but not captured

Hi All,

I am having some issues with the deadline monitoring in one of our test systems.
Looking at the WF log I do see that the deadline was reached, but then
the Result element is not set and hence the step that needs to be
executed when the deadline is reached is not executed.

We have a deadline of 20 days for the approval workitem, if it is not
approved withing 20 days, a warning email is sent out. The deadline
monitoring job is running every 3 mins, no issues there, But the WF is
stuck in the approval task and not proceeding further. Am I missing
something. This WF has been in the system for years and has been
working fine and is working fine in Production. So not sure what might
have changed.

Appreciate any input to resolve this issue.
