Standard business object CACSCONTR not released

Dear All,

I have created subtype ZCACSCONTR and added a new event called
'Changed' and the supertype is CACSCONTR. I am trying to release the
event 'Change' using the 'Edit' menu --> Change Release Status -->
Object Type --> To Released. I am not able to release, since the super
type CACSCONTR is not 'Released' status.

What will be the implications if I use CACSCONTR business object and
delegate type is ZCACSCONTR, and super type is not in 'Released'
status.

We are on EHP6 SAP and 7.40 release.
