What do your users like/dislike about Alerts in SAP

We have been using Alert Framework provided by SAP to deliver our alerts from SCEM.   We allow users to subscribe to certain types of process issues.  In most cases they turn on the email option and just get email notification instead of going into the alert inbox to view the alert. 

I do not think that anyone uses the Confirm button.  

I would love to see that product improved !!!

We are also using the alert's from the APO environment and Solution Manager.  If you are interested, I can ask some specific questions to those teams.

I'd be really keen to hear if anyone with an opinion about how alerts are handled in Business Suite from the users' (recipients) point of view.

E.g. Is the Alert inbox used, or are they just received in email clients? Or Mobile?
Is the confirmation button important or do the users just want to receive a mail....


If you have a minute to send feedback/opinions I'd be so,so,*SO* grateful to you because I'm designing an alert capability for a different system and want to learn from your experiences.
