BW reporting

Hi Stephane,

Thanks for your response and kind offer to send me info. Doing it is not really the issue, my main question was the length of time it will take. My BW experts here are suggesting it's a long and difficult exercise, 8-12 man-days just for a quick proof of concept (you don't want to know what they think a productive implementation would take!).

The book dedicates a paragraph to the actual implementation (basically that a BW person needs to enable and activate it), so I'm sensing a bit of a disconnect and would like a second opinion on the reality of setting it up from scratch in an already live BW environment.

Thanks & regards,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I have never used the BW reporting however reading the documentation it seems like a package you have to import in BW.
Usual stuff normally (reading chapter 7 of Pratical Workflow).
However for the old men around there is another possibility which is easy to set up, but the final lay out is not that great it is based on the LIS and called WIS.
If you don't know about WIS that is on the business workflow menu, and I have an old presentation from SAP about it but I am not sure that the attachment goes well here ? Can I send it to you via email or on drop box or your SDN account ?

Cheers
Stephane
