Yes. This makes perfect sense. Would not want to transport up a position that exists in dev and not prod, etc. etc.
All working as it should.

Thanks Mike

Rick,

We force our developers down the manual transport route by setting the Transport lock entry in System Table T77S0, GRPID = 'TRSP'.

This makes sure we don't drag through agent assignments from the Dev HR Org by accident.

Perhaps this setting has been turned on during your upgrade?

Yes. 110 / 120 same system. Dev / Test.

Been a while since I looked at this type of role res and should have had my notes in hand but
I was in a hurry. <blush> Just testing stuff do to upgrade to ecc6.

I created a rule via PFAC to use an “Agent Determination: Responsibilities”.
I went to 120 and rule was there as expected but not RY (Responsibility).
I manually forced a customizing transport for RY and SCC1’d it over.

I don’t recall this not prompting me for a transport before upgrade but that was a LONG time ago.
Works fine. User error...

Thanks Mike / Kyle,
Rick

NOTE - Of course my below comments imply that clients 110 and 120 are part of the same instance. :)

I'm not clear as to what you are not seeing in client 120.

While Rules themselves are client independent, the Responsibilities are NOT. Definitely the Rule should be visible via PFAC or PP01. However, if you maintained Responsibilities, you will need to transport or use transaction SCC1 to pull the Responsibilities from 110 to 120.

As for maintaining the Rule's Responsibilities via PP01, I believe there is some basic customization required that will determine which Infotypes are available for your various organization objects (like Rules, Org, Units, Positions, etc).
