Hi Vijay,

Please make sure that the mail is being sent to a correct user or email address. Check the work item container ADDRESSSTRINGS and see what value it contains.....if it id blank then you need to check where you are getting your recipient from.

Regards,
Eddie

Subject: SENDTASKDESCRIPTION does not send email but gets executed successfully [Scanned]

Hi,

I've come across a strange situation where the SENDTASKDESCRIPTION of the object SELFITEM is not sending email. It was working earlier but it has stopped working now. We are on ECC 6.0 version and interestingly it works in QA system but does not work in Production system.

We are using a single task which gets triggered based on an event. We don't have a workflow as we just need an email notification. So we have one task which has got some description which is built dynamically and the expectation is that the standard functionality will send the task description as an email.

Checked in SWU3 and the --> Maintain Standard Domain for Internet Mail is set up correctly. Everything else seems to be fine in SWU3. Not sure why the emails are not sent out. Any idea what might be missing?

Kind Regards,
Vijay
