Temporary error in result processing of work item XXXX

All workflow tasks are completed only the head work item id is in error.

I saw a new error message in the ActiveX log version (I usually use the classic version with technical details):

After I try to restart the workflow with SWPR I get the error

Unable to start subflow (ID: 0000XXXX, node: 0000000001)
followed by

Status change from COMPLETED to READY is not allowed/possible

This is very strange because the top work item ID has status ERROR and all other tasks have the status COMPLETED.

Hello,

Try Extras > All Errors     usually there's a meaningful one hiding in there somewhere.
Which step is in error, what is it supposed to do?
