SAP PS (Project Systems) Workflow

Berry,
I have also worked within the PS module and agree that Status Management works well.  I further think that BOR objects do support and work well with user statuses.  Sorry Mike, someone has to defend the poor old BOR.
If you simply add interface IFSTATUS to your Business Object (ex – ZBUS2054) you will inherit attributes StatusObjNumber, StatusObjType, StatusProfile and methods UserstatusSet, UserstatusSetPopup.  Sometimes these need a little tweaking (remember an Existence Check problem for the StatusProfile attribute) but it’s a great start.
As long as the SAP application uses Status Management, you’re in good shape.  Because of this integration I don’t worry about the lack of OO class support for BSVW.
Regards,
Thomas Maue

Just to add my "me too", I have done extensive work in this area and it's
custom all the way but extremely flexible. BSVW is your friend.

A couple of comments: if you're using user statuses the BOR objects do not
really support them. Conversely BSVW is one of the few areas that don't
support OO workflow classes, so there's a bit of work involved in both
cases but once the Status Managemetn framework does what you need it's a
powerful tool.

Regards,
Mike
