eliminate message "New work items in your Workflow inbox"

Thanks Rick! I did check SLG1 and it sure looks like it was sent by the extended notifications job. It turned out that a subscription had been activated for some previous testing, that used the standard category. For this application we have set up a separate category and configured the subscription message for 'One Message per Work Item' (which is what I meant by individual messages).

I've deactivated the old subscription so hopefully that will fix it.

Hi Margaret,

I can confirm that this is (almost certainly) coming from Extended
Notifications.
If you look in tx SLG1 for a log around the time the mail was sent you
should be able to get a very good idea of what Extended Notifications
was doing.

Of course, it's always possible that someone has created their own
rogue job to emulate it - check tx SM37 for those same times.

By "individual messages" do you mean one email for every workitem /
user combination?
