Dump when restarting workflow

Hello,

I have a problem with a  workflow, sometimes it dumps in SWPR when restarting.

The error text is:
Error analysis
    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
     caught in procedure "IF_SWF_WFM_LEAF_EXECUTE~RESTART_SUSPEND" "(METHOD)", nor was it
     propagated by a RAISING clause.

No workflow step is in error, somehow the workflow instance was set to error when generating the next step.
I have some warning messages like:

Message no. SWP030 Temporary error in result processing of work item 0000XXXX
Message no. SWP027 Flow item Workflow text (Workflow 0000XXXXX- Top Wi id) for work 
item  has the status "Error"
                             CHECK_WORKFLOW_INSTANCE 

I have several subworkflows called by the main workflow. There is no binding error or something like that, the workflow is productive for many years and this errors are not frequent.

Before creating a SAP call I would like to know if you have any idea what is the problem and what this CHECK_WORKFLOW_INSTANCE means.
