SAP Workflow Query-Event Receiver Issue

> Dear all, I have a intermittent problem : 
> - I have a workflow instance which has a WAIT EVENT listening from "23.07.2011 00:00:55" on object/EVENT "ISUSWITCHD-->PROCEEDAFTERACTION" 
> - The object/EVENT "ISUSWITCHD-->PROCEEDAFTERACTION" is then published on "26.07.2011 12:20:36" but the EVENT RECEIVER is not resolved (SWEL proves this).
> - The SAME workflow/EVENTs have successfully worked before and after this instance so I am a little curious as to why and how this has happened. 
> - Why is this happening as 3 days have passed? 
> - I have also tested this TODAY (9.8.2011)  via SWUE and the receiver is still NOT showing. 

Any help on the above would be most helpful
