Hi Jocelyn,

thank you for your quick reply!

Yes, I'm talking about existing workflows realized with SAP Business Workflow. So my two options are to check the UWL API or to use the SAP_WAPI modules.

Let's see what we can achieve.

Best regards,
Markus

Hi Markus,
Are these existing workflows????

NW BPM Processes are deployed as web services from the beginning. From NW BPM 7.3 there is also a BPM API which allows external execution of work items, and extraction of the worklist to an external inbox.

SAP Business Workflow is proprietary technology and is not deployed as web services nor is there a simple mechanism for external execution.
However if you are using the UWL as your worklist you could look at the UWL API to provide extraction of the worklist and external execution of work items. If not, then you are talking a lot of work using SAP_WAPI function modules... not a happy option for this sort of requirement.

Regards,
Jocelyn

Dear colleagues,

a large customer is using an own workflow engine and wants to integrate the workflows delivered in our project into it.

Is there a kind of 'state-of-the-art' how we can provide access to our workitems to their engine? Is it possible to make the workitems available as a executable external service...I presume as a webeservice, that can be executed on iphone, ipad and laptop?

Thanks!!!

Best regards,
Markus

Following on from Ginger's posting?.

Does anyone see much need for Mobile Workflow reporting? I assume that most of the reporting is done at the 'application level' and not the work item level. Right?
