Remove a device

Bill,

This is a WF Forum. Not a general helpdesk. But you've caught me on a good day...

The answer to your question depends entirely on whether you intend to keep the Device installed for any period of time, especially if there's been any recorded consumption.

You can technically 'reverse' a Device Installation as long as it has been uninstalled from a Billing point of view first. And if you carry out the Billing Removal for the same date as it was installed then the database will be completely cleared of any record about that Device having been installed at all.

Of course, if you have recorded meter reads you'll either have to reverse them if you intend to do that or if you intend to keep them then you'll have to post a Removal read for all of the registers of the meter as part of the removal or before.

Note that the XY_AUTO-AUTO_ZW parameter table in the second FM can be used to pass through Removal reads up front. You have to provide the right reads for the right register numbers though.
