Job SWEQSRV

Marcia,

Sounds like you've made progress in this area, but just for piece of mind I would urge you to ensure your settings in the 'Background Job' tab in Transaction SWEQADM make sense to you and are appropriate for your throughput and processing frequency.

If you've chosen the 'Parallel' processing option in the 'Event delivery' tab you'll need to make sure you have also defined your Server Group correctly and that everything looks fine in RZ12. All depends on your system size and Workflow load.

It's a good idea to keep an eye in SM37 from time to time and make sure your SWEQSRV job is indeed processing properly and not abending every time and then simply re-spawning (and while you're at it look out for SWWDHEX, SWWERRE and if you're using Conditions then SWWCOND should be scheduled as well). Sometimes the 'Overview' tab in SWEQADM lies to you and says the job is running when in fact it might not be anymore, e.g. because it dumped...

And finally it's probably worth keeping an eye on your event linkages in Transaction SWETYPV too on a regular basis so that you're happy all of your triggering events that you want to go via the queue stay 'active' and aren't deactivated automatically because of feedback errors. Either that, or you go out of your way to define the event linkages so that they do not deactivate themselves at all, ever by choosing the appropriate setting in SWETYPV.

Hi Sheldon and Mike,
Thanks so much for your answers. I have deleted the old events and rescheduled SWEQSRV. Everything is back to normal now.
