Workflow ending in error

Hi Anand,

I have seen this error before. In my case the cause was that a value was not passed to the rule as we expected.  Some suggestions for troubleshooting, if you haven't already done these:


*       Double check your workflow log that errored, to be sure that it appears the required input values are being passed. (If the container doesn't have the values the rule needs, that is your problem. If you were relying on standard SAP behavior to supply those values that could be why it changed with the support pack upgrade.)

*       Test the rule in PFAC using expected input values - preferably values from a workflow that ended in error.

*       Make sure the binding is correct from the step to the rule.

Hello Experts.

   I am facing strange problem.

We are using HCM forms &process for a process we have developed custom workflow, to find the approver we are using Rule's and subrule.

Rule 1 is standard which use the standard FM HR_ASR_AGENTFINDER and Subrule iz Z Function module, we have developed totally 12 workflow's and the same rule is be used in all the workflow and its working fine. In production also its working till date.

we are using the standard task TS17900100 & TS17900101 this standard is defined as general task.

Now we did a support pack upgrade from ECC6 Enhp4 SPS4 to SPS6 and also we did Business function activation HCM_ASR_CI_2.

Now the issue is only 1 workflow is not working its ending in error at the agent determination step and all other workflow's are working fine, when we try to re-start the workflow its picking up the correct agent.

Error message are
Error when processing node '0000000025' (ParForEach index 000000)     --> SWP088
Work item 000004121313: Object FLOWITEM method EXECUTE cannot be executed --> WL821
Error occurred when determining the agent in the workflow
Error in resolution of rule 'AC91000026' for step '0000000025'
Agent determination for step '0000000025' failed
Error during result processing of work item 000004121317
Error when processing node '0000000025' (ParForEach index 000000)
Error when creating a component of type 'Step'
Error when creating a work item
No errors occurred -> Details in long text

attaching the document with screen shot also.

till now we tried below things
* created a new version and activate the new verion
* run the buffer
* activated once again the AC rule.
* removed the rule from the task and assigned US its working
* removed the rule and tried to assign expression its working
* when we assign rule its ending in error.

Can you please help me on this issue
