Secondary Method, UserDecisionhandler, poor display of transaction in the backend

Hi Jocelyn,

where in the xml one can make the change so we can say that <Property
name="GuiType" value="WinGui"/> for the Secondary Method?

If the PO is rejected, it goes back to the PO Creator for him/her to make
the required changes. For this task, we can clearly see in the xml where
to make the change and it works like a charm i.e. when the user changes
the PO, he/she sees a really nice screen (standard SAP screen, but looking
really nice).

Before the approver can approve the PO, we are giving them the chance to
display the PO. This is achieved by using a Secondary Method in the
Decision Task. However, when the user clicks the link to display the PO
the screen he/she sees is not as nice as the one for the PO Creator when
he/she is changing the PO.

Where in the xml the Secondary Method is 'called'? Is the call to execute
the Secondary Method somewhere in an xml file?

Any ideas are welcomed!

Thanks,

Cristiana

Hi Margaret,

You could use the XML config to open the transaction in WinGUI instead of
WebGui - if the users will have SAPGUI on their own machines? There's a
setting in the Portal Content Directory for the UWL that changes
everything to open in WinGui by default instead of WebGui. But it's a bit
drastic.

Or try a different transaction... some transactions look better than
others in WebGUI... and there are usually several views for purchase
contracts.

Alternatively you can use SWFVISU > Object Visualization to override the
standard display method of the purchase contract with a web app equivalent
if you have one.

Regards,
Jocelyn

As suggested I tried this on several desktops and laptops with different
configurations but problem as stated still exists. If I use ME33K I get
nice icons (even the little red truck). If I open from the Portal
"Required Reading" Purchase Contract: .... - Display Object the output is
very poor, no icons etc. I have used SWO1, BUS2014, instantiated and
executed the Display method the display is sweet appearing with all the
icons.

Problem:
Secondary Method on a User Decision Task. When the task appears in the UWL
and the user hits the link under "Required Reading" in the Task
Description then the transaction that appears is not neatly rendered with
icons etc. I have defined the task in the xml with UserDecisionHandler. Is
there something I can do in the xml to neaten the presentation/rendering
of the display, make it the same as if using ME33K directly?

Regards,

Margaret.

Hello All,

I have designed a simple custom SAP approval workflow (webflow based) and
everything works fine when the work item is executed from SAP inbox.
Whenever the work item is executed, the underlying BSP application gets
called and after appropriate user action the work item status is set to
'COMPLETED' which is as expected.

If I copy the hyperlink from the internet explorer (when the workitem is
executed from sap inbox) and re-run the hyperlink at a later stage; the
status is getting changed to 'COMPLETED' after the appropriate user
action.

My requirement is to execute the work item from a blackberry (which can
not recognize sap work items). So I have copied the SAP delivered program
'RSWUWFML2' {this program sends notifications to the agents of the
workitems} and modified the logic to populate the hyperlink (same as that
of the link that gets generated when executing the work item from SAP
inbox) in the body of the email.

Upon selecting the hyperlink in the e-mail; the underlying BSP application
opens up(so far similar to the execution of workitem from SAP inbox).
After appropriate user action in the bsp page; the method
CL_SWF_IFS_WS_EXPORT=>LAUNCH_CALLBACK is executed successfully with out
any exceptions. However the status of the workitem is not changing from
the status 'READY'.

Any thoughts? Am I missing somewhere?

Appreciate your response and thanks in advance.

Regards,
Hemanth

Hi Hemanth, If you are on ECC 6.0 or an NW 7.0 platform then Extended
Notifications handles SMS notifications natively.
There are also details on how to execute work items via BlackBerry in the
Darren Hague book on "Universal Worklist" available from SAP Press.
Regards,
Jocelyn

Hi Margaret,
How's it going?
The transaction calls WebGui - might be a problem with that PC 's settings
- have you tried it on another machine?
Regards,
Jocelyn
