If the field in question has change documents turned on for object MATERIAL(MARA-MSTAE does in our system) you can can configure the workflow to trigger a 2nd time when the field value is updated from * to 30.  Look at transaction SWEC to set up when an event gets issued on field value changes and SWED to check if change docs are active.

Hi experts,

I have a workflow which gets terminated if the plant specific material status is not 30. However if at some later point this gets set to 30, the process needs to continue. 

Is there any best way to do this? What does the "workflow start" in mm03 tcode do. Can I leverage this functionality ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
