Launch of SAP work items in UWL

Dear Srinivas,

Please bear in mind that "Advance with dialog" feature does not exists within UWL. This is why it behaves differently than SBWP.
However if your requirement is to enter confirmation notes once the user makes the decision then I'd suggest configuring the XML section of the decision task such that it'll contain sub-window for notes and the user must enter text within prior to making the decision.

You can browse through this forum to find the exact XML source. It also exists is "Universal Worklist with SAP NetWeaver Portal " by Darren Hague .

Good luck.

Hi Jocelyn,
?
Thanks for responding and I'm sorry for confusing you. I will try to rephrase it.
Ours is EP7.0 with ECC 6.0. This is regarding the launch behavior of the work items from UWL for Work Order Workflow.
The requirement is,when the work item is clicked, it should behave in the same way as if the user had clicked on the item in SBWP.?And it should be in synchronous dialog chain.
This is not being acheived.
In UWL, when we accept or reject the workitem, we?have to refresh and?click again?to add the confirmation notes for acceptance or reject of the user decision.
What I have checked:
1) In Display support Information, the?handler is SAP TransactionLaunch for these work items.
2) In iview of Launch SAP Transaction - SAP GUI property is SAP GUI for windows
3) Uploaded the webflow xml.ECC file including the tasks with SAP Transaction Launch handler in Action tag and?GuiType with value WinGUI in Property tag.
4) Cleared the cache after configuration and re-register the system.
But the other work items belonging to Invoice?workflow and PO workflow in UWL, they are synchronous and launch as they we are opening in SBWP. Why the Work order work items are?launching differently and not synchronous?in UWL(They are synchronous in SBWP)?compared to the workitems of?other workflows.
Can you please suggest what I'm missing?
Thanks for all the help.

Regards,
Anuradha.

Subject: [LIKELY JUNK]Launch of SAP work items in UWL

Hi,

Thanks for the help.
We have three different workflows - PO, Invoice and work order PO.
When we open PO and Invoice work items from UWL , they open the same as opened in SBWP(SAP Launch Transaction)
But when we open PO work order workitem, they open as that we see in the portal.
My issue is PO work order should also behave the same as Invoice(as that in SBWP).
Our UWL configuration is not task based-it is same for all the tasks. So it should behave same for all the tasks.
Can anyone suggest how can I solve and what I need to check.
Thanks again.

Regards,
Anuradha.

Hi Guys,

We recently moved a transport to Production environment and we left a
BREAK-POINT command in one of the method in the workflow. This caused
the workflow to hang at this point. We have now corrected the issue and
moved back the transport to production. Is there any way we can complete
the workflows hanging due to the break-point?

We are on Sap ECC 5.0.

Thanks in anticipation.

Kind Regards,

VJ

Hi,

I am answering under the assumption that you have a custom workflow
object in this case... (if not, then its required)

I do not know of such a capability in workflow.? You need to
customize/modify the FM that does the post processing of the IDoc before
sending it and attach it to a custom BOR method.

Pls let me know if this helped!

Regards,

Vinod

Hello,

We have a workflow to approve outbound PO's in place. We are now going
to send these PO's to our vendors via EDI but I only want to send the
last IDoc not each one that is created when the PO is approved and
saved. Anyone familiar with this? Is there a setting somewhere or is it
something in the WF that needs to be added?

Thanks,

Loren
