Hi Christian,

the problem is, that the internet-social-networking-sites offer a button to "invite all my friends", which is - at the first glance - not obvious that they start to send eMails to *all* adresses found in the local adress book (or the adress book of the eMail client).
So it's in between "invitation" and "personal spam" :-)  To avoid this uninentational mails, one could just remove the wug's addy from the adress book, while others who don't use such services have no problems with differentiations.
Maybe Sue could mention this problem in the WUG login/maintenance page of the mit.edu web site?!
