Hi Jim,

Thanks. I checked the enhancements and it's not implemented in this
instance. However I looked at the event manager transaction and all
events are waiting to be delivered due to errors.

Looks like there is some binding issue between the workflow container
and the event container.

I will resolve the issue. Thanks so much for your valuable time. Have a
pleasant evening.

Kind Regards,

VJ

Have you seen Note # 85293 - FIPP: Suppress event CREATED? It describes
the use of a User Exit to determine which Parked Document types should
raise the CREATED event. Perhaps this exit is in use at your
installation?

Hi Ramanan,

Thanks indeed it helps.

I tried parking the document from FV60 instead of FB60. However it still
doesn't seem to raise the event FIPP --> CREATED. I am not sure if there
is anything else I need to do in the system to activate the events. Is
there any global workflow setting to trigger events? Looks like in my
system the event triggering is switched off.

Any idea on what other things I must try? Thanks again for your valuable
time.

Kind Regards,

VJ

Hi , I have just copied the answer from SAP support...below in quotes.

my question to SAP support was:

<<

Preliminary posting txn FB50 does not park the document

>>

Answer is:
<<
First of all let me say that txn. FB50 is a POSTING transaction (with
parking functionality), but not intended to trigger a workflow.
This does txn. FV50 (or FV60 etc.): PARKING documents, but with posting
functionality under certain circumstances.
Users to create new FI documents therefore should be given only
authorization for the ENJOY PARKING transactions.
>>

And I am using copies of std SAP wfs 10000051 to 54 and all three levels
are working perfect with correct customzings in OBWx transactions.

Hope this helps.

To be more specific. We are on SAP 4.6B version and trying to trigger a
workflow on the event FIPP --> CREATED when a GL document is parked
using FB50 transaction. Currently the system does not trigger any event
once the document is parked.

Hi,

Do we need to activate some global settings for events? Looks like in
our system there are no events triggered. I have run SWELS and switched
on the event trace and later run report SWEL but there are no entries in
the system. Is there anything I am missing? Do I need to activate some
global setting to switch on the events?

Kind Regards,

VJ
