Anil,

Indeed, nothing's going to work without WF-BATCH :-).

You need to rerun the 'Configure RFC Destination' step in SWU3. This
should recreate WF-BATCH.

Make sure you have SAP_ALL, so that WF-BATCH will be created with the
appropriate authorizations.

cheers
Paul

Hi, Thanks for the reply

The WF-BATCH User does not exist in the system.

Recently we have applied Enhancement Pack 3 to our ECC6.0 System. So may be
because of that, the WF-BATCH might have got deleted.

Please, confirm if it is the root cause of the problem.

Or Any other suggestions , please ?

Subject: SWU3 - Configure RFC Destination - Workflow Not Starting

  Hi,

  I have configured a PR Release Workflow ( std wf - WS00000038 ) using
  Release Strategy.

I have created a PR. And verified the Event Linkage is in proper place.

  Problem : 1

On creation of PR, in the Event Log, SWEL, it shows, the receiver started
correctly, but I cannot find the particular button that takes me to Event
  Log.

In the Event Log, it says (error) that, "Name or password is incorrect
(repeat logon)" for the RFC Status.

So, I think it is a problem in SWU3 customizing with respect to RFC
  Destination Configuration.

  Problem 2 :

When I opened SWU3, executed 'Configure RFC Destination, it asks for
  Background User and Password.

So, what is user, that I should give here ?

Can any one solve this problem.

  Thanks and Regards,

It appears that you need to activate your webdynpro in SICF.

  Hi Anil,

  Problem : 1

  Log.

So, I think it is a problem in SWU3 customizing with respect to RFC
  Destination Configuration.

  Answer
Please check your RFC customization in SWU3, User will be WF-BATCH and
provide valid password which is maintained by BASIS.

  Problem 2 :
When I opened SWU3, executed 'Configure RFC Destination, it asks for
  Background User and Password.
So, what is user, that I should give here ?

  Answer
In workflow generic user is maintain User name - WF-BATCH and Valid
Password which created by your basis.
