Hi Akshay,
Anywhere you see an option to enter a handler class in the configuration, you have the option to replace it with your own version.

If you want to change the layout of the email start with the BSP application in the message delivery section and create your own version of that.

If you want to change the contents or links you need to look at the main notification handler at the category level.

If you want to change who receives the mails look at the subscription handler - there are already a couple of examples of this in the system.

Use SWN_SELSEN_TEST program to debug.

Regards,
Jocelyn

Subject: Extended notifications

Hello Friends,

I am new to this area and was curious to know how the ABAP classes / handlers used in this framework are used. Need your help on this front.
Wrt this topic, wanted to know how implementations of different classes (e.g. handlers etc ) is executed while sending notifications using Extended notifications?

Just to elaborate , wanted to know where can I find information about :
1. In which cases do we require custom classes to be used in Extended notification?
2. How exactly implementation of these handlers etc is executed while sending notifications? ( What program / code can provide insight as to how these handler implementation is invoked? i.e.. where to debug to find call to handler implementations )
3. Any sample implementation which can help to understand how custom handler can be implemented used?

Appreciate any inputs on this front.
Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Akshay Bhagwat
