Problem with deadline monitoring

Thanks Shai,
But the problem is old workitems also had deadline monitoring and there was error in the logic after deadline was reached . We stopped deadline monitoring and then fixed the logic and now the problem is all those hundreds of workitems were initiated with the wrong logic have a deadline in them and when we start the deadline monitoring again those go back into error again.
 
I am going to follow Florin's suggestion and I think that will fix the problem. Thanks to you, Florin and Manish for replying.

Old workflow instances should not be subject to deadline as each workflow instance starts (and ends) with the active workflow version th the time the workflow started.
Please take at look at the workitem itself - do the have deadline date & time ? what is the error message on SWI2_DIAG ? What version do you use ?
