Hi Akshay,
I mean you cannot e.g. call a screen from a before/after method - e.g.
you cannot use the after method to call a "pick next agent" screen. The
intent of the before/after methods is to do background work, such as
custom logging.
You can of course use before/after methods for dialog tasks.

Hi Jocelyn,

Inbox intended to use is SAP Inbox.

Could you pls elaborate your point related to use of before / after
methods for dialog activities: "you cannot use before/after for dialog
activities."
Current workflow template in the system has before / After method coded
for one of the user decision step activity.

Thanks and Regards,

Akshay,
you cannot use before/after for dialog activities.
Which inbox? If this is the UWL just completely replace the "approve"
button only with a call to your "select agent" application. Then have
your application update the workflow container and send an event to skip
on to the next relevant step.
Regards,
Jocelyn

Hi Friends,

We are on ECC6.0 system.
It's a old subject .. but as it's a support system on which we are
working on, I wont be able to try out the situation, so posting the
question for some inputs from you all.

I need to use Advanced with dialog for a step which is being used after
a user decision e.g. Approver selection screen to be called once the
agent approves the user decision step.
Can I use the option of Before / After method for this User decision
step and still successfully use Advanced with dialog feature for next
step ?
Just to elaborate more, as I wont be able to use any background
processing between these twp steps, I am planning to do the necessary
background processing in After method of User decision and then use
advance with dialog for next step.

Awaiting your suggestions/inputs.

Thanks and Regards,

Akshay Bhagwat
