Extended Notification & Portal

There is a setting in the General settings of the UWL called
'INBOX_LINK_URL' for this purpose (the link is only used with certain
combinations of execution settings).

Alternatively you can maintain your own texts which include a URL and
substitute these for the standard texts referenced in general settings.

Subject: Extended Notification & Portal

Hi everyone.

Quick question. Users will mainly be accessing MSS/ESS through Ent.
Portal 7.0 backend ECC6

They want to receive email notifications when workitems sent to them.
BUT if I set up extended notification, will that not direct them back to
Sap Gui, when they double click on the icon in the email? They will want
to be directed to the portal, is there a way of changing this email icon
link to point at the portal rather than sap gui?

Thanks

John

RE: Start Workflow Via GOS or Event

Sandy,
If they are starting it from within SAPGUI for Windows why not use a
Start Form - that's a standrad workflow technique to create an input
data screen for starting a workflow. See the basic data area of the
workflow in SWDD.

Jocelyn

Subject: Start Workflow Via GOS or Event

Hi All.
We have requirement to start workflow manually. Prior kick off the
workflow user input several data in customize screen.
I would like to have your thought what is the best way to trigger
workflow for this kind of requirement. Will it be better to use GOS or
raise an event within that custom screen?

Thanks in advance_______________________________________________
